MINUTES OF SPECIAL NBBTING OF

A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors,. Eagan Township
was held on October 22nd, 1963 at 5:00 o'c1ock P.M. at the office
."
of the Clerk, 1365 Deerwood Drive, St. Paul, Minnesota at which all
members were present.
Chairman Rahn presided and stated the purpose of the Beeting
to be the awarding of the contract for the proposed new fire hall.
ChaiX'DIAn Rahn then announced that the low bid received at the
special meeting of the Board for the opening of bids on October
18th, 1963 was Don Christenson of Eagan Township whose bid was in
the sum of $17,834.80. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn
and seconded by Supervisor Klein, it was RESOLVED that the general

contract for the construction of the proposed new fire hall to be
situated on Rahn Road in Cedar Grove be, and the same hereby is,
awarded to Don Christenson for the said sum of. $11 ,834.00, subject
to the execution of an appropriate building contract therefore.
Chairman Rahn further advised the Board that Mr. Emil Jandric
had advised the township that he was gratuitously waiving the usual
and customary sewer and water hook-up charge for each of the two
lots to be the site of the new fire hall; also that arranse-ents
for the gifting of the ORe lot and the purchase by the tawRship of
the other lot had been coupleted and that the deal1l18 ready for
closing. Upon motion duly _de and seconded, it was llESOLVED that
Eagan Township proceed to consUDlllllte the purchase of said lot and

the acceptance of deed to the gifted lot from Mr. Jandric" s Cedar
Grove Construction Co., as ~ntor; and FURTHER. RESOLVED that the
Town Treasurer be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to
forthwith issue the township)s check in the sum of $2,800.00 in

full payment thereof to be paid to said Cedar Grove Construction
Co. upon receipt of appropriate deed therefore, said tIIOnies to
be drawn against the township' s general fund.
Upon Motion, the meeting adjourned.
