05/26/1961 - City Council Special 75 MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS t EAGAN TOWNSHIP May 26th~ 1961 A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, Dakota County, was held at the residence of Chairman Arthur Rahn on May 26~, 1961, at 8:00 0' clock P.M. at which all members were present. Chairman Rahn presided. He recited that the primary purpose of the meeting was to investigate the proposed landfill on application by Mr. Eugene Bader on Highway No. 13. A discussion was held based upon the investigation of the prem- ises in question by the Board immediately prior to this meeting. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the Town Attorney write to the applicant, Eugene Bader, setting forth request for additional information to be submitted to the Board prior to its meeting on June 6~, 1961, including the following: 1. The exact status of the land ownership of the parcel to be filled. 2. A qualified engineer's report including soil borings re- garding the water condition on the premises and the spring on adjoining premises. 3. The method of financing the project and the names of any other owners or joint venturers with the applicant in the operation of the proposed enterprise. 4. The amount in cubic yards of overlay material available upon said premises for covering, and the availability and amount of additional overlay material needed. 5. An estimate of the cost of compliance with the various provisions of the ordinance as to trees, fence, etc. 7 ~- , " 6. A statement from the applicant that he would commence the landfill in accordance with the ordinance a minimum of 500 feet from the nearest highway. 7. A plan layout of the proposed site and a statement as to hours of operation, personnel, etc. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the town attorney write Mr. R. G. Kisling, 2720 Lexington Avenue South, St. Paul 18, Minnesota, regarding the illegal operation of a commer- cial junkyard without special use permit at said address.
