MINUT"ES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, EAGAN TOWNSHIP
July 18, 1961
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, was
held on July ls-, 1961, at 8:00 0' clock P.M. at the Town Hall at which
all members were present except Supervisor Schwanz.
Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the previous meetings were
approved as read.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the following
guilding permits be, and the same hereby are approved and issued:
'fl. E. White
- W.E. White Addition
- House 33' x 38'- $10,000
Rowland Kissling - 2:120 So. Lexington Ave.- Garage 24' x 32'- $ 1,800.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Trapp and seconded by Chairman
Rahn, it was RESOLVJ.ID to accept the resignation of Mr. G. J. Caldwell from
the Advisory Planning Committee; and FURl'HER m:SOLVED that Gordon Beau-
dette be, and he hereby is, appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mr.
Caldwell..
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Trapp and seconded by Chairman
Rahn, it vas RESOLVED that the Town Attorney contact the Lost Spur Ranch
Club and and advise them that they would have twenty days within which to
put out the fire in their dumping area along the Chicago and Northwestern
railroad tracks or the Township would be forced to take appropriate action.
A petition for the adoption of local improvement laws was presented
by twelve resident free holders of the Ira Nelson Development and was taken
under advisement by the Board of Supervisors.
Forms of bid invitations for two-way radio police equipment were pre-
sented and Chairman Rahn directed the constable to post same according to

law.
Mr. John Baxley appeared in response to complaints that he was oper-
ating a dumping project in the Southeast part of the township contrary to
the dumping ordinance and zoning ordinance. Mr. Baxley agreed to submit
a written application for consideration by the Advisory Planning Committee
and the Town Board relative to his operation.
Mr. Rowland Kissling appeared in response to notification that he was
operating a dumping project in violation of the said dumping ordinance and
zoning ordinance. He explained that the material situated upon his proper-
ty belonged to the Minneapolis Rowing Club and would be removed on or be-
fore November 1, 1961. Upon motion duly made by Superrisor Trapp and
seconded by Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED Tbat Mr. Kissling have permis-
sion to continue storing of the materials on his property for the Minneapo-
lis Rowing Club provided that same are removed on or before November 1,
1961.
Mr. Myron Kehne appeared on behalf of his request for the construc-
tion of a culdesac at the East end of Deerwood Drive. Mr. Kehne was ad-
vised that the Town Board would investigate the area and defer decision
thereon until such investigation is complete.
Mr. Louis Fischer, Clerk, requested some affirmative action on his
resignation previously submitted as Clerk for the Township. Upon motion
duly made by Chairman R~,hn and seconded by Supervisor Trapp, it was RE-
SOLVED that the resignation of Louis Fischer as Clerk of the Town Board
be, and the same hereby is accepted, subject to audit and verification of
his books and records and the turning over of all Township belongings in
his possession to the Board of Supervisors. Upon motion duly made by

Chairman Rahn and seconded by Superviso~ Trapp, it was RESOLVED that
Alyce Bolke be, and she hereby is,,duly appointed Clerk of Eagan Township
for the uaexpired term of Mr. Fischer, and to assume her new duties
upon resignation of Mr. Fisc~er.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned.

TO: All interested police radio equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
YOU WILL PLEASE TAKE NOTICE That the Board of Supervisors, Eagan
Township, Dakota County, Minnesota does hereby invite the submission of
competitive bids on or before August 1st, 1961 for the following two-
way police radio equipment:
1 - 12 volt, 75 watt, 2 frequency transistor radio
1 - 6 volt, 75 watt, 2 frequency transistor radio
suitable for installation in stock automobiles. The bids must be deliv-
ered sealed to the Town Clerk on or before said date.
