MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING, BOARD CF SUPERVISORS, EAGAN TOWNSHIP
llarch 23, 1964
A Special Meeting of the Board of Supervisors; Eagan Township was held
on Karch 23, 1964 at 8: 30 0' clock P. M. at the Fire Hall at lIhich all Board
members were present except SupervisQr Schwanz. Officers of the Eagan Township
Volunteer Fire Dept. were also present except C. Hanson, 1st Asst. Chief.
Chairman Hahn presided.
Present officers of the Fire Dept. were recently re-elected to office
far a term of one )'1tar. On motion of Chairman Rahn and second of Supervisor
Klein the Board approved said election of officers for the year 1964.
Discussion followed on the general area which the Eagan Township Vol.
Fire Dept. would serve. The proposed area is: North to Yankee Doodle Rd.,
East to Co. Rd. 31 including property owners whose driveways abu~ Co. Rd. 31,
South to the Lebonan Tamship line and West to the Bumsville Township liAe.
It was agreed that the Fire Chief will keep detailed records of all
Fire calls and report semi-annually to the Town Board.
After discussion and upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded
by Supervisor Klein, it was RESOLVED that Chief Van Engen be given and he
hereby is authorized to make expenditures for maintenance up to $75 for each
in
such expenditure unless/an extreme emergency the cost is greater.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Klein and seconded by Chainnan Rahn
it was RESOLVED that Chief Van Engen be authorized to purchase 10 sets of
protective clothing, it was further resolved that the Fire Dept. bills pre-
sented the Board be ordered paid.
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Klein
it was RESOLVED that the Fire Dept. be authorized to start operations on
April 15, 1964.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
