12/13/1966 - City Council Special MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF EAGAN TOWNSHIP, DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA December 13, 1966 A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, Dakota County, Minnesota, was held on December 13, 1966, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. at the town hall at which all members were present. Chairman Rahn presided. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was unanimously waived. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn, seconded by Supervisor Klein, it was RESOLVm that the town attorney's partial billing for legsl services in connection with the sewer and water project be, and the same hereby is, approved and ordered paid. Mr. David Lewis, attorney, appeared with his client, Mr. Martin Bredvold, in connection with negotiating the sale of a certain parcel of land situated in Section 8-27-23 to be used in connection with Temporary Sewer PODding Area #2. The matter was discussed and negotiated and determined necessary for the temporary sewage treatment pond. Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by Supervisor Klein, it was RESOLVED that the land area as approved by the town engineer consisting of 8.34 acres as more particularly described in the state tax deed submitted by the seller be purchased for the sum of $4,170.00 at $500.00 per acre out of the bond funds for the sewer and water projects; and FURTHER RESOLVED that the town attorney be, and be hereby is, directed to prepare and approve the necessary legal documents in connection therewith. The matter of Rahn Road and other projects was discussed by the Board and it was determined that an additional I mill levy for road and bridge purposes under the emergency provisions of M. S. A. 164 was necessary to complete road construction and treatment. A separate resolution therefor was adopted by the Board copy of which was ordered spread upon minutes of meeting. Fr. IIIAt 8:00 P. M. the Chairman announced the opening of bids for the North Central Sanitary Trunk Sewer. The following bids were submitted: Robert Moore $69,291.50 Lametti & Sons Inc. 67,866.00 Peter Lametti Const. McCrossan 80,045.00 Upon motion by Chairman Rahn, seconded by Supervisor Schwanz it was RESOLVED III that the bids be refered to the town engineer for tabulation for presentation to the Board at its next meeting. Thereafter an informal meeting was held with Senator Glewwe of South St. Paul and Representative Knutson of Burnsville regarding legislation affecting Eagan Township in the next session of the legislature.
