06/08/1967 - City Council Special (2) MINUTES OF A SPECIAL JOINT MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND THE ASSESSMENT COMMlTTJi'..E EAGAN TOWNSHIP, DAKOTA COUNTY J MINNESOTA June 8, 1967 'the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, John J. Klein, called to crc'"l':" a special joint meeting of the Board of Supervisors and the Assessment Cl'lmmiti;c<1 at 8:30 o.clock p. ~, June 8, 1967, at the town hall. Those present included Klein, Rahn, Polzin, Knight, Rosene, BoIke and Ha\lge. The town engineer submitted his proposal pursuant to his letter of June 2, 1967, covering proposed municipal water and sewer rates for Eagan Township. After discussion and upon motion by Rabn, seconded by Klein it l~as RESOLVED that the rates proposed in said letter for sewer aad water purposes be, and they hereby are, approved. The town engineer explained that the following is a proposal concerning sanitary S~Aer connection fees fortbe township. That a $200.00 sanitary sewer connection fee be charged for residential units. That for all uses other than residential, a $200.00 initial connection fee for the first twenty~ fixture unit be charged aDd that $10.00 be charged for each f:lr.1tre unit OV'PoT 20 to detel-mine the residential equivalent for such uses other than residenti....1 which flsture units are determined on the basis of the Minneeota Plumbing Code" Upon motion by Chairman Klein, seconded by Supervisor Rahn, it was RESOLVED thst said proposal be, and it hereby is, adopt,ct. The Assessment Committee and Board further discussed rights for sewage service in the event af greater than ordinary streneth sewage and detennned that f:l1:ther stwy should be made. .. 1 - It was further determined that the matter of water meters and the possibility of a uniform type be further studied and that the. B081':d would meet with any interested water meter salesmen on July 10, 1967, at 7:00 o' clock P. M. at the town hall. The town attorney submitted a proposed ordinance No. 20 covering set~er and water regulations. Upon motion by Chairman Klein, seconded by Supervisor Rahn, it was RESOLVED that said ordinance be, and hereby is, adopted ar.d the clerk directed to publish said ordinance according to law. The members present further discussed the hiring of additional persooncl" Upon motion by Chairman Klein, seconded by Supervisor Rahn it was RESOI,VED ~,hat,the clerk be authorized to advertise for a full time assessment clerk in the local aOO twin cities newspapers. Upon motion by Chairman Klein, secoDded by Supervisor Rahn it was RESOLVED that the clerk further advertise for a water and Sewer superintendent aDd that the interview date be set for June 28, 1967.
