10/22/1968 - City Council Special MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEEnNG OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS EAGAN TOWNSHIP, DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA October 22, 1968 A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Eagan Township, Dakota County, Minnesota was held at 7:30 p. m. at the town hall on October 22, 1968 at which all members were present. The Board first discussed the acquisition of an aerator including two cold protector shrouds for ipstallation in temporary stabilization pond No.2. The town engineer indicated that the supplier had informally agreed upon a lease of approximately $645.80 per month for 10 months with the rental payment at the option of the township to be applied toward the purchase of the aerator, ice shrouds and attachment in the total sum of $6,458.00. After considerable discussion concerning the emergency need for the aerator due to the weather conditions and the fact that the source of the difficulty largely arising from the Coca Cola Bottling plant and General Beverages which will again be in full production about January 1, 1969. and upon motion by Supervisor Jacobson, seconded by Chairman Klein. aye Supervisor Rahn,it was RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors hereby approves the lease in the sum of $645.80 per month for the lease of an aerator and accessories which sum shall be applicable toward an option to purchase the aerator and accessories at any time during the term of the lease; it was FURTHER ltIOI.VED that an emergency exists and fux-ther because the~cquisition is based upon a month to month lease it may develop that it will become unnece8saryto purchase the equipment. Upon motion by Supervisor Jacobson, seconded by Supervisor Rahn. aye Chairman Klein. to~ Verduce was hired in the Eagan Pub lie Works Department at a salary of $625.00 per month starting Novembe~ 4, 1963. Upon motion by Supervisor Rahn, seconded by Supervisor Jacobson, aye Chairman Klein, it was RESOLVED that William Branch be, and hereby Is, appointed tte Director of Public Horks, that Marvin Henzel, Wally Bunnell and Tony Verduce each be paid a salary of $625.00 commencing November first with the exception of Tony Verduce whose salary will commence November 4th, all of whom will be employees of the Public Horks Department.
