09/22/1970 - City Council SpecialMINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPExVISORS TOWAt OF EAGAN, DAKOTA COUNTY, MINtdESOTA September 22, 1970 A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Eagan, Dakota County, Minnesota was held at the Town Hall on September 22, 1970 at 7:00 °.M, at which all members ware present. The Chairman announced that one purpose of the meeting was to review the request of Blue Cross dated September l4, 1970 relative to additional work to be completed on the Blue Cross property near Highway X13 during construction of the sanitary sewer trunk line across their land. After considerable discussion and upon motion duly made by Supervisor Rahn, seconded by Klein, aye Uselmann, it was RESOLVED that the Board be on record approving the extension of the contract relating to sanitary sewer work in that location to include those items included within the letter of September 15, 1970 addressed to Mr. Richard Crist of Minnesota Biue Cross and that the contractor be authorized to complete the additional work as specified in that letter. The Town Engineer reported on the bids received for trunlc water main and storm sewer improvements covering Project X55-A in the area of Oak Chase Addition, which bids were received and opened at 3:00 P.M. on September 18, 1974 at the Town Hall. The following bids were submitted: Erickson & Erickson $158,468.85 Hoffman Brothers 160,436.54 Bianconi Construction Co. 171,501.25 Orfei & Sons 174,044.10 Associated Cont. Co. 174,560.00 Nodland Assoc. 176,977.50 F. D. Chapman Const. Co. 180,878.00 Keller Construction 1$4,440.00 Partc Construction Co. 186,612.25 Barbarossa ~ Sans 190,816.00 Beatson & I{elley 198,954.50 Gideo Canst. Co. 241,801.34 -1- It was noted that the financing for this project together with proposed Project ~~58 would be included in a future bond issue during 1970 in the approximate amount of one million dollars. Upon motion by Klein, seconded by Uselmann, aye Icahn, it was RESOLVER that the above bids be and they hereby are accepted and that the low bid of Erickson & Erickson, Inc. in the sum of $158,468.85 be and it hereby is awarded and approved. The Board discussed the potential deletion of the SW~ of Section 14 and the SE's of Section 15 from the proposed sanitary sewer trunk assess- went roll scheduled for October 1, 1970. The reason for the proposed deletion is that those sections are included in drainage areas different than the remaining area of those two sections. No action was taken.
